STOP PRESS!.........4 WD SHOW RETREATS FROM VICTORIA PARK – A WIN FOR SECRA AND PEOPLE POWER

Set out below is a summary of the key points made by Chairperson, David Plumridge at the meeting held on Wednesday evening. Among those attending were the Hon Dr Jane Lomax-Smith, Member for Adelaide . The Hon David Ridgeway MLC , David Pisoni, Member for Unley and representatives from a number of kindred organisations.
Attached is the report on the meeting which appeared in the Advertiser on 24th August. It is now up to all of us to maintain the pressure on our politicians to ensure that Victoria Park is not ruined by short-sighted people whose interests are driven by commercial rather than community interests. The Parklands are unique to Adelaide and they belong to the people represented by the Adelaide City Council.
